Citation Management Tools

What is Academic Writer?

Academic Writer is a tool created by the American Psychological Association (APA) to help you write and cite in APA Style. You can learn how to format your paper and citations, manage your references, and write your paper using APA templates. Monmouth University students and faculty have free access to an account. Register through the library's subscription to create an individual account. There is no cost when you use the library's subscription.

Registering for an Account

1. Go to https://ezproxy.monmouth.edu/login?url=https://academicwriter.apa.org

2. Look for the "Welcome" menu on the upper right of the screen and select "Log In."

3. Once on the log in screen, select "Create an Account."

Note: You will need to use your MU email to create your account. You will only need to create an account if you want to store your references or write your paper. You can learn APA Style without registering.
