Lithography

Below are fine examples of early lithography that document key moments in English history. Lithography is a printing process involving limestones and smooth metal plates, invented in 1796 by the Gemran Alois Senefelder.  These examples are from the very early 1800s, which indicates lithography's quick spread across Europe.
