What is Noodle Tools?

Noodle Tools is a cloud based citation manager that allows you to create, save, export, and share your citations and notecards easily.  Monmouth University students and faculty have free access to an account. Register through the library's subscription to create an individual account. There is no cost when you use the library's subscription.

Registering for an Account

1. Go to https://my.noodletools.com/logon/signin

2. You should be authenticated if you are on-campus and see the message below.

Note: You do not need to be on campus to use your Noodle Tools, but you may be asked to create or revalidate your account on campus.

Creating a New Account

Complete the New User Registration form if you have not previously signed up for Noodle Tools.

  • Make sure you select the option " An account linked to a school/library subscription or trial" which should automatically be the first option shown.
  • The Personal ID is not connected to your MU login credentials. You can create any personal ID you'll remember.  Again, the password is not connected to your MU login credentials. This is a separate personal ID and password created just for this site.
  • Add a valid email, last 4 digits of phone, and initials — these are used for account verification and password reset.

How to Revalidate Your Account

MU uses IP authentication, so all users should first login to their school account and then NoodleTools will automatically re-authenticate their accounts. Note: Users will need to log in once from on campus to automatically revalidate their user account for the school year.
