NJ Grants
This site provides information for finding New Jersey state based grant funding.
Grants.gov
This site, "provides a common website for federal agencies to post discretionary funding opportunities and for grantees to find and apply to them."

Get detailed information on foundations that give grants or scholarships to individuals. The application also provides direct access to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) for individuals not associated with a nonprofit on its homepage.

Open Society Foundations
The Open Society Foundations award grants and fellowships throughout the year to organizations and individuals who share Open Society values.
Soros Justice Fellowships
Open Society-U.S.’s Soros Justice Fellowships fund outstanding individuals to undertake projects that advance reform, spur debate, and catalyze change on a range of issues facing the U.S. criminal justice system.
